Sinful colors "Mint apple"

Let me say one thing first: I'm not a green/mint fan. But when I put on this Mint apple by Sinful colors I fell in love...<3 It's so beautiful! And when the sun shines on it, you can see those marvellous little yellow glitter which make this polish so amazing :) The application was great too: two coats and a top coat (the only problem is that, while sleeping, little stamps of my pillow appeared on the polish, because it wasn't completely dry when I got to bed :S) So: thumbs up for mint apple!!! I can't wait to try the other polish :D What do you think about this one?

Little preview 2

A little preview of what I bought yesterday :) I think I finally found the perfect polishes <3 I already tried one of them, and it's a dream! I absolutely want to get more and more of them *_*  These two are:
- Mint apple
- Forget now

Pupa and a matte finish

I wanted to try the matte finish, and that's what I did. I used a Pupa polish as base (they unfortunately don't have names) and the essence matte top coat. Well, let me say some things about this: this the application of the Pupa polish was sooooo difficult! the colour was simply too mushy, and I wasn't able to do a good job :( I don't know, maybe because it's a bit older...anyway, after the base I put the top coat on...and, as you can see, some strange stripes appeared on some fingers (index and middle finger). Probably I did something wrong, but it doesn't look right >.<
Apart from all this problems, I have to say that I really like the matte finish on dark polishes :) Soon I'll try other combinations (hoping that I'll be able to resolve these issues! :P) and then we'll see :3
So, that's all! I'm now getting ready for University...see you later!

Lovely experiments

When it came to change my mani, I wanted to try a layering, and I had these two polishes in front of me: Glisten up and No more drama (both from essence). Well, you know what? If you have both too then...overlap them!!! I did it, and the result was amazing (at least for my taste :P)!
I don't know how to describe this colour exactly...I think it's something like a lila-blue with greenish sparkles in it :) I really really like it :3 I used two coates of No more drama and one of Glisten up: perfect (and a top coat). I think that glisten up is so much prettier if used like a topper rather than alone...I will try different layering with this polish from now on, for sure!
Oh, I almost forgot! I'm taking part to an amazing project created by the lovely Colorful bottle, and it's called "Guest nails": she'll give place, on her blog, to bloggers not so know (like me) to show their work/passion. Do you want to know more about this project and maybe participate? So take a look at her blog, you can find all the informations you need here:

A touch of sparkle

Again, when you're bored with the colour on your nails but you don't want to do a new manicure, then simply add some nail art or layer another polish on the base. That's what I did with my Innocent: I added two coats of  Space Qeen (by Essence) on one finger per-hand. And I like the result :D

Elf "innocent"

A while ago I decided to buy some Elf nail polishes to see the quality of these products (for only 1.70€ each). I got "Lilac", "Desert Haze" and this one, "Innocent". Well, they're not the best of the best, but they're not so bad as I thought. About this shade, for me it's an amazing neutral colour, that matches perfectly with my skin tone :) The application wasn't that good...I needed three thick coats to get good opacity, but in the end the effect is pretty good! I also used a top coat. Well, for those of you who were thinking about buying or not Elf polishes, I can only say that I suggest you to try Innocent and Desert Haze, because these are two beautiful colours, an attempt worth :D
This last pictures was taken in the sun :)
For those of you who haven't heard of Elf before, here is their online shop: eyeslipsface.com

Essence "glisten up!"

So, here I am again, this time with a colour which is certainly more springish than the last one :P And, guess what? I't an Essence polish again!! I know, you're probably bored of seeing always polishes of this brand, but this was the last one I had to try, forgive me!
Well, about this manicure...I love it! The colour is an amazing light blue with greenish shimmer in it, and other blue glitters (and the best part is that there are glitters of different sizes *_*)...I'm so sorry that my primitive camera wasn't able to capture al these shades, but I absolutely recommend this polish to those of you who know a place where to buy it :) About the texture...it's a gelly one, which I love <3 Oh, sorry, I didn't mention that probably this polish was thought to be put on some other blue-colour, but instead, I used it like a simple varnish, and I like the result :) So, here are the pictures!

Pssst

P.S. I added little pois on both my ring fingers :D This colour alone was just a little to boring :P

Essence "walk of fame"

This is more a winter colour, but I wanted to try it, and so...here it is! This is another polish by essence, "Walk of fame", a brownish/greyish colour, really nice, and super glossy! The application was pretty good, I used two coats, but it was already fine with only one :) And in these pictures there's no top coat (I applied one coat of it later...). Well, I really like it, the only problem was that, while drying, little bubbles appeared :( Well, anyway, I think this is a great colour for autumn/winter!

Pink mood

If you haven't noticed yet, I'm a pink-fan. I love every shade of it, and now that the sun comes out again, I love it even more! So, yesterday I couldn't resist when I saw this lovely little bottle of Mavala nail polish <3 The colour is what I would usually call bubble gum pink (or Barbie pink) :) so beautiful! Can't wait to try this on :D And what about you? Do you also like pink polishes? :)

Essence "purple diamond"

Well, here it is: I used the first one of the polishes I bought, purple diamond :) I'm not such a big fan of metallic colours, but this one is really beautiful. It's a light purple shade with glitters, and, as I said, metallic. The application was simple, and it dried quickly. It's a really shiny polish, like it!! I applied two coats and a top coat.

Little preview

A little preview of what I bought yesterday...which polish do you think I chose for todays manicure? :)
1. Essence purple diamond
2. Essence no more drama
3. Essence walk of fame

Birthday manicure

Today was my birthday, and so I decided to try something different for my manicure :) I chose a white polish as basis, and then I used the essence freestyle&tip painter to do draw some nice lines on my nails. At the end, I also added some glitters and stickers on my left hand. I really like the result, and I think I'll do more often things like this! So, for the manicure I used two coats of white Debby colorPLAY polish, essence freestyle&tip painter, essence nail stickers and glitters and a top coat. The nail polish was really great to apply...the colour is enough opaque just after one coat, but I always apply two; also the silver painter is simple to use, but I've got some problems with using my left hand to paint on my right one :S What I didn't like at all were these flower stickers...they also belong to the essence collection, but they were really difficult to stick on my nails...as you can see in the fourth picture, there is a corner that doesn't fix at all. On my right hand I had to remove one because it looked really awful! But this was the only problem I had with the whole manicure :)
So, do you like it? :D

To Japan

These are the moments in which I realize how lucky I am. I've got a house where to live in, I've got a family who loves me, I've got health, I've got love in my life.
But there are people who lost everything in a few minutes. They now have nothing
Let's do every little thing we can to help them, please.

Pupa 80!s

Today I want to show you a nail polish which I bought a long time ago, and that I recently re-discovered. I think it could be described as "holographic", because there are so many beautiful colours you can see in it when the sun shines, but unfortunately today the sun has better things to do. But I wanted to show you these pictures anyway.
The polish belongs to the collection 80!s from Pupa, and I actually don't know what's it's name :/ The application was really pleasant, but it took me four coats to reach a good opacity. The final result is a pretty silverish colour with little multicolour glitters in it. I do really like it :) Oh, and I also used a top-coat.

Essence french manicure

I know, I suck in french manicures! But I wanted to try it, even if my nails are still short and even if the last time I did something like this it became a disaster. I'm so stubborn :/ First I tried to put light-blue polish instead of the classical white, but it looked awful, so I changed, but still the result doesn't satisfy me. Well, I hope that with a lot of exercice I'll be able to improve myself...
For this manicure I used the essence kit (yes, I know, but I swear I don't always use essence products, you'll see!), and this time I'm not so happy with it. At least not with the white polish...it's too fluid, and too sheer for my taste. Actually, I'm not such a patient person, and french manicure takes too long to be done in my opinion...and I really hate those tip guides!! They always leave some glue on my nails when I take them off  >.<
Anyway, this is what I used for my french:
- Essence french glam (rose glam+white glam)
- Essence glitter top coat
And for the thumbs:
- Essence nail art freestyle&tip painter
- Essence nail art jewels
- Essence nail art stickers
Look how cute these stickers are, I'm in love with them!
I think I'm going to keep this manicure for another day and then I'll change again, because I'm not so happy with it. Oh, and in four days will be my birthday, and I'm thinking about making myself happy with a self-done present :D Do you see the wishlist here on the left? Well, it's time to make some wishes come true ;P

Lipgloss mania

Another short post to show you my favourite lipgloss of the moment. I'm really not that into makeup, but I like to put some lipgloss on before I leave home, especially when it has a good taste! So, last week I found a very cheap one (1.90E) that I really like. And the best part of it is that's a no-brand lipgloss (I don't usally spend lots of money for cosmetics, because I'm not a make-up addict, so I have no problems when it comes to buy cheap things like that!). Oh, and obviously a plus-point for the cute box!
And today I went again to that perfumery because I wanted to buy the same lipgloss in a different colour...we'll see if it's good like the first one :D What do you think?

Essence "Fabuless"

Here I am again to show you another one of my recent purchases: Essence "Fabuless" varnish. Well, also this time I'm really satisfied with the final result: the colour is nice, a black nuance with silver (?) shimmer in it, very glossy. It took me only one coat on some fingers to obtain an opaque effect (a thick coat, obviously), and this time I didn't wait too long until it was dry :) Thumbs up! So, here the first pictures of this polish without any top coat (the second one photographed with flash to show you the glitters):
And then, already a bit bored with only the black colour, I decided to try another varnish on it, and so I gave another coat with Essence "Space Queen"...which I absolutely recommend to you! It's a lovely glitter nail polish, with blue, green, yellow, pink glitters. It gave another look to my nails :D What do you say? Do you like it?
In the end, I added a final top coat, but there isn't such a big difference...now all my nails are shimmering, and I can't stop watching them! :3

Essence "sweet as candy"

So, this is my first post on this blog, and I'd like to introduce myself briefly before I begin.
I'm a 20-year-old girl from Italy, with a big passion for creative activities: I love photography, art, fashion, and, obviously, polishes! I fell in love with all those colourful little bottles not long ago, but now I'm learning how to make cute nails and how to take care of them the right way. Yes, because I used to simply put on different nail polishes without caring about my poor nails, who didn't like that treatment at all! But, as I already said, I'm trying to learn more about this big nails-world, thanks to lots of amazing blogs which are a great source of inspiration for me :3
So, don't expect big things for now, I'll only show you my last purchases, my little nail arts, my favourite colours, etc. and I hope that I'll improve myself. Oh, and of course I accept advices! I need them, especially from all of you who have more experience...so, let's start! ;D
Oh, and wondering about the blog title? Well, "Like a candy shop" means that, when I enter a perfumery (or another shop which sells polish) I feel like a little girl who stands in front of tons of candies, and would love to take all of them home!! I'm sure you understand what I mean XD
One last thing: in this blog I'm also going to talk about my life, not only about varnish, I hope this will make things not so boring :P

So, last week I finally found Essence products, and I bought some of their nail polishes, a protecting base coat, some nail jewels and the nail art stylist. I only tried one of them until now, the one called "sweet as candy", and I have to say that I'm totally impressed. For only 1.29E, I took home an amazing light-pink polish, which has a really good resistance (I put it on on saturday and it's still perfect!). So, here it is (two coats and a top coat):
The only problem of this nail polish, in my opinion, is that the drying is not so quick as they say...actually it took pretty long to dry completely. And, on my left hand, I tried a little nail art, with some stones I found in the "nail art - nail jewels" set, pretty cute, and I really like the result:
In my opinion, this is a gorgeous polish, and I really recommend it to all those girls who love light pink shades. Let's hope that also the other ones will look as good as this one does :3
