just another perfect polish.............................

If I had to write a list of positive and negative things about the polish I'm going to introduce you it would look like this:
+ :

  • Amazing colour, so bright and shiny, perfect for summer days;
  • Great formula, not too thick, not too sheer; two coats for perfection (one if you're a thick-coat lover);
  • Beautiful brush, it makes the application very easy;
  • Low price for really high quality.
- :
  • ...
  • ...
  • ...
  • ...
Yes, this polish is pure perfection.

And I'm talking about Barry M.'s "Coral"! I've read soooo many positive comments about this brand, but I never thought that it would be SO good :D
I think I don't have to spend other words for this beauty...if you haven't done it before, you absolutely have to try Barry M. polishes! I still have other three of them to swatch, but I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed ;)
Here are my pics, hope you'll like them as much as I do love this polish on my nails :P
BTW: I've just reached 100 followers!! Thank you sooooo much, I'm so happy right now you can't imagine :')

Pimp it up!

Just a short post to show you how I decided to spice my mani up: by adding a coat of "Circus confetti" and mattifying the whole thing!
I just love it <3

Kings of mints

Yesterday I spent a relaxing day at the beach...sadly I couldn't have a bath because it was too windy, but I really enjoyed just laying around while reading a book ;)

I'm still waiting for my Barry M. order to arrive, so meanwhile I'll show you another polish from the You rock! collection: "Kings of mints".
I'm so in love with this...I mean, look at it! Apart from the amazing colour, I love the shimmer, it's so delicate :)
The application was fine too, I used two coats and a top coat. What else to say? If you're a mint-lover, you should definetly try this one!

Ink blue

I'm again in a don't-know-what-colour-to-choose mood, so, in the last two days I changed polish way too many times! The good thing about this is that now I have a lot of pictures to show you :D
Before I go on with the "You rock" collection, a little break to introduce you to one of my favourite polish ever: "Just rock it!".
You know, blue is an amazing colour, and I own different shades of it, but this is definetly the most beautiful. It's so dark and intense, like ink, and it's also very pigmented, so it's the perfect one-coater. The only negative about this polish is that it is quite thick (at least mine), so the application is...let's say interesting.
For these pictures I used one coat plus top coat.

Essence "speed of light blue"

I really don't know why I don't wear light blue polishes so often...but I will definetly use this one a lot! I'm in love with how it looks on me (and this happens seldom!) :)
The only thing that did disappoint me is the fact that the lovely shimmer that you can see in the bottle doesn't really translate on the nail :( Well, you can see a light shimmer if you look on your nail in direct sun, but that's it.
But I'm happy with this polish, I absolutely don't regret having bought it!

Oh, before I show you the pics, I also wanted to ask you a question:
I just found this amazing online shop, BeautyJoint.com, which sells NYX Girls and Kleancolor polishes (and also other brands of course) and has really cheap prices. I wanted to know if any of you european readers has ever tried to buy something here, and if you were satified with the service (especially with the shipping).
Stop talking now, I leave you with some pictures! Have a nice day ;)
(this is three coats plus top coat; you can see a light shimmer in the second picture; the last one shows how the shimmer looks in the bottle)

What I got yesterday

Actually, I didn't want to buy more polishes yesterday because I had just ordered the Barry M. ones online :/
I only wanted to get another bottle of my magic top coat from Essence, but when I saw that there were the new polishes from the "You Rock" collection (yes, I know, they're a bit late....) I couldn't just walk by!
I didn't buy all five of them, because I wasn't really into "Cut off the beige" and "Let me in pink".
So, while waiting for my Barry M. polishes I think I'll show you these ones, even if you've probably already seen  them a thousand times now!
And this time I also bought the base sealer from the "Studio Nails" collection, even if I still don't know if it can be used as base coat XD Well, I'll try it and we'll see :P
 Have a nice day!

Love at first (or better second) sight

First of all, I wanna thank the lovely Abby for tagging me in her Award post; she said some really nice things about my blog and my "work", and I want her to know that I'm so grateful for this :)
I'll write an award post myself as soon as I can!

Second news of the day: I made it to order four of the Barry M. polishes I was talking about yesterday! In the end, I decided not to get "Shoking pink" because it looked too much like "Ultimate pink" from Essence, and I didn't want to spend money for a dupe :P
I think it will take about a week for them to arrive...meanwhile let's concentrate on some "old" polishes I haven't swatched yet.
Oh, and a girl asked me where I buy polishes online. Well, first of all, this is the first time I'm trying the online method for cosmetics (actually, only varnish XD), so before I can tell you exactly if it's worth to try it, I want to wait for my order to arrive :3
Anyway, I placed my order on Asos.com: it's an amazing online shop, where I've already bought a lot of clothes! I think it's an English one, so, if you don't want to shop oversea, this is the perfect place :) Oh, and the best part is that the delivery is free worldwide! How amazing is that? :D
But...yes, there's a but...there's not a big choice...I mean, you can find brands like Barry M., O.P.I., Illamasqua, Essie, etc. but there aren't all colours; but I think it's ok, because there are some really nice shades :)
The prices? Well, you can get Barry M. polishes for 3.83€ (if you're lucky you can also pay less!), Essie's for 12,76€ (a bit too expensive for my taste :S), O.P.I.'s for 13,46€ (also expensive!), and so on.
I would LOVE to buy some Essie polishes, but for the moment I'm broke, so I think I'll wait for a while XD
That's all for the moment, I will tell you more when I'll get my package (let's hope that all the polishes will arrive safely!).

Sooooo, about my todays mani (finally XD)...you know I'm not a big red-fan, but I think it's nice to wear it sometimes. What I didn't expect was to fall in love with a polish I bought some month ago and never wore. It's a beautiful raspberry red with tons of golden glitters in it, just gorgeous! You won't probably see how beautiful this colour really is thanks to my stupid camera, but believe me, it's truly amazing :)
The formula was a dream too...I used two coats plus top coat. Oh, and did I already mention that this one is from my local drugstore? 1€ girls, just 1€! :P
(First two pictures were taken in the shadow, third picture in direct sun; in the round picture you can see the glitters that show up in the bottle)

on my wishlist right now

I haven't tried any Barry M. polish yet, but I'm going to get these ones asap. I think this brand has such pretty colours and the prices are affordable too :)
It's a while that I'm looking for some bright polishes and these are my favourites right now! So, let's hope that they won't be out of stock before tomorrow :P
I would really like to hear some of your opinions about Barry M. polishes, so...tell me!
Have a nice sunday!

It's a hot pink!

Good morning dear readers!
Yes, I changed my blog's layout :) I wanted something more fresh and personal, so I worked on this one for a couple of days, and today I finished it. I really really hope you like it too!!

About todays mani...well, I'm totally in a pink mood right now, and I put on my nails a polish I bought a while ago and I never used: "South beach pink" from Mavala.
It's a very pretty bright pink, perfect for these summer days :)
The formula of this one is nice; I used two coats for full opacity and a top coat, that's it.
I wish I had some neon polishes...>.<  I'm looking for a pink and yellow one, but it seems impossible to find them here! I know, I could buy them online, but the shipping rates are always too expensive for me, so I guess I'll have to go on searching :P
Meanwhile, have a super nice weekend!!!

Pretty in yellow

It's not a secret anymore that I'm completely into yellow :3 But when I first saw this polish I couldn't decide if to buy it or not. I thought I was more a pale-yellow fan, but I simply couldn't forget this one! Today I said to myself that I had to get it, and so I did, and I'm really happy of that :)

Well, I would define this colour as yolk-yellow XD It is very bright, and I love it for this reason. I already told you that yellow cheers me up, and this one in particular intensifies this feeling, it's crazy!
About the polish: it is pretty sheer for the first two coats, but after the third one it looks fine. I loved the formula, it was super easy to apply :) And the brush also isn't bad at all.
The price? 3,49€, nothing to complain about, right? :D

Another sponged mani :)

I told you I was going to do some more sponging, and so.....here I am with a new sponged mani! :D
This time I wanted something more cheerful and bright, so I picked "Very berry" from Essence plus "Love at first sight" from Deborah.
I still don't know if these colours look good together, but I kinda like them :P
I must say, "Very berry" has an amazing formula: the application was a dream and it dries very quickly!
Also "Love at first sight" is a great colour, but I don't like the fact that it dries rough...anyway, the problem was solved thanks again to my amazing top coat (yes, I'm still talking about the Essence studio nails one!).
I've got nothing more to say, so here are todays pictures, hope you like them:

Essence "makes me weak"

I'm already tired of wearing a dark polish :P Sof I had to pick something bright and colourful...and I chose "Makes me weak" by Essence, a really nice peach/orange shade which I bought a while ago, but I never tried because you know how much I hate the brush from the multi dimension collection >.<
About the formula...well, the first coat was pretty streaky, and I needed three of them to have this result, but I guess that's mostly fault of the crappy brush!
Anyway, I like this colour a lot, also because it makes my skin look incredibly tanned (and I'm actually white as milk right now :P)!
Aaaaaand...I also changed my nails shape again! Rounded nails simply don't suit me so well.
So, that's all...I wish you all a super week-end! See you ;)
(The first one is the most colour accurate; last pic was taken in direct sun; three coats + top coat)

Dark blue I like you :D

For today I've got a dark blue polish from the italian brand "Quando è", which my italian readers can find at the Acqua & sapone shops. There is a light shimmer in this polish, but sadly it's really hard to capture on the nail. Anyway, I think that even if they're really cheap (I bought this for 1€) they have a quite good formula.
So, here are some pics, see you!
(Two coats of blue polish + one coat of tc)

Essence "Lime up!" and the perfect top coat

I'm so happy right now, and you know why? :) Because I've finally found the perfect top coat!!
I'm talking about Essence "Studio nails, better than gel nails top sealer". I had to try this out because I read a lot of positive comments on the Internet about this polish, and so yesterday I took it home with me :)
It's simply amazing: it dries quickly, it doesn't bubble (yeahy!! Problem solved!) and it gives an amazing shine to your nails. Is there anything better than this? :P Oh, and I forgot to mention that it's also super cheap (I don't remember exactly the price, but I think it's about 2 euros and something).

This morning I decided to have a new mani, and so I chose "Lime up!", another new purchase.
This colour wasn't so easy to apply as "Ultimate pink", but after three coats my nails looked pretty fine. And then...the final touch! Two coats of the magic top coat XD
Here is the result:

Layering and matt finish

And here it is! I layered "Love at first sight" (by Deborah, from the net à porter collection) over "Ultimate pink", and then I mattified the whole thing with Essence Matt top coat :) I think it looks gorgeous! I really really like the result, and I finally understand why the lovely Jane adores mattified glitters so much!! XD
Well, I hope you will like this mani as much as I do ;)
That's all for now, see you guys!

Pink wednesday? No, pink sunday!

Hello! Today the sun decided not to appear, so unfortunately I won't go to the seaside as planned :( Well, we all know what's the best activity to spend some time if you've got nothing to do! XD Yes, you imagined right, I did my nails :P And I found out that I like some polishes a lot more on my nails now that I've rounded them!

One of the polishes I'm talking about is "Ultimate pink" by Essence. It's a really bright magenta pink, and when I tried it the first time, I didn't like it at all; but now I know that's because of the shape of my nails...
This colour looks so good on its own, but I'm thinking about layering with another pink/glitter polish ^^
Meanwhile, here are a few pics for you:
(this is how it looks in the shadow, two coats, no top coat)
(and this is how it looks in the sun; in these pictures it has a fluo touch, but in reality it's just a little more magenta...I don't know what's the problem with my camera! XD)

Sponged mani + news

Good afternoon! Here I am again with a new manicure and with some news.
First of all, I wanted to make sure that you saw the new link I put here on top of the blog, called "Wanna swap?". I added this one because I think that it's an amazing opportunity to get polishes that you can't find in your country and also to know new people :) I've never done this before, but I think I could handle it XD So, if you're interested, please contact me per email (you'll find it here with the names of the brands I can get you here in Italy).
Second, I decided to shorten my nails and to round them, because they broke a lot, and also because I wanted to try something different :) Anyway, their shape now isn't perfect, and I'll have to wait a few days before I can give them their final form, so please, be a little patient <3

So, now I can talk about today's mani! I tried for the first time the sponged technique, and I'm completely in love with it!! It's super easy and it looks gorgeous, and I think you'll see a lot of manis like this in the future :P
For this one I used Essence "Fabuless" as black base colour, and "Choose me!" on my tips. These two colours are just perfect together, and I loved how it looked in the end :) Hope you'll like it too!

Cute bunny nail art

Today I've got for you a little nail art :) I see all those blogs with such amazing nail art, and I wanted to try something too. So, here it is!
For this manicure I used:
yellow base: Banana from Basic (you can find this brand in Schleker shops), from the Juicy Fruity collection;
pink flowers/ears/cheeks: Enchanted Fairy from Essence;
black eyes: Fabuless from Essence;
white bunny/flowers: number 03 from Debby.

I know I'm not so good at this for now, but I absolutely want to try and try and try again until I'll be able to do amazing nail arts :P
Oh, and I'm finally done with my exams!! Yesterday I did my last one, and now I feel sooooo good :)) I can smell the perfume of freedom in the air XD
