Out of my mind + vacation time!

Am I maybe in a duochrome phase?
Well, considering this other polish I chose for today I would say yes...
I'm talking about "Out of my mind", a gorgeous blue/green polish from Essence. I don't know why I didn't buy this before, but I'm glad I did in the end!
The polish looks a bit sheer after the first coat, but I needed only two coats to reach opacity, so don't worry.  This is also the colour I chose for my short trip to the beach (but I'm taking one or two other polishes with me...btw, any suggestions?).

Oh, about that, tomorrow morning I'm leaving for five days (I'll be back on thursday evening) and I don't know if there's any wi-fi where I'm going, so I still don't know if I'll be able to post. I'm too lazy to prepare the posts before, so in worst case you won't hear any news from me for this short period of time.
But I think it's healthy to have a break from the Internet sometimes, at least I feel the benefits of it.

So, here are finally the pictures of this pretty pretty polish, hope you like them!

Oh my beauty!

Oh man, this polish is just heaven!
I think right now this is the prettiest colour in my stash *ç*
Mixing blue and purple together is one the best combos ever in my opinion. I love it, I really really love it <3
I used three coats, but it was fine also with two (but I wanted a more intense result) and the formula is very nice. And I payed this beauty only 3.90€.
I'll let the pictures talk, so here they are (picture heavy):

Little haul

I shopped.
Oh yeah! And I got some really pretty polishes :3 I also discovered two new brands (I guess they're both italian), Sky Kisses (per le lettrici italiane, questi smalti si trovano presso le profumerie La Gardenia) and Valentina (this is one of those small 1€ bottles).
I'm particulary impressed by the Sky Kisses polish, because it's a really gorgeous duochrome (at least in the bottle) and I really really hope this effect will translate properly on the nails!
I bought the Valentina polish because of the lovely red glitter, perfect for layering; the only down side is the smell, it reminds me of my grandma polishes when I was a kid...they had this really horrible smell, and this one has it too :(
Well, I don't think I have to introduce also the other bottles, because you already now Essence and NYC.
So, here are only a few pics of my little haul and some bottle details:

Some news

No, I'm not talking about nail polish today, actually I wanted to introduce you to another of my big passions: photography. Some of you already know that I bought a new camera (if you're following me on Twitter), and so I decided to share this other side of me with you. I really hope you like my pictures :)
That's all for today, have a great night!

Surprise surprise!

I'm impressed, very very impressed. Who says you need to spend a lot of money for a good polish?
Today I went to a Schleker because I wanted to buy some limited edition polishes (which I didn't find) and I got home with a bottle of their usual ones (I spent 1,99€). I chose a dark plum colour and I put it on as soon as I got back home.
And, guess what? I love it!
The formula is amazing (I used two coats, but I guess you could make it also with one coat) and the colour simply gorgeous <3
I realized that I was buying so many particular colours that I didn't have simple shades like this :/
I'm absolutely going to buy more of these polishes, hoping that they're all beautiful like this one :) The only bad thing about basic is that they actually have only basic colours, no unique shades :( Well, I guess it's time for some not-so-unique polishes XD

Want some teal?

Good morning! Well, I wish it was still night because I'm sooo tired...I had to work last night and tonight again, so I think I'll just take a nap this afternoon to recover properly :P

So, for today I've got another nice Essence polish: "Let's get lost".
I was afraid of trying this polish because I thought it would stain my nails, but at the same time I wanted to swatch it sooo badly,  and so...here it is, finally!
What to say about it? First of all, the formula was as good as the other Essence polishes (from the Colour&go collection) and it's also a one coater (yeahy!). The colour is so vibrant, and I would say it's a teal shade (I'm so sure it will stain my poor nails ç___ç).
So, nothing bad about it! But I couldn't just leave it like this, and so I added a coat of "Choose me!" on top, and the result is amazing! Unfortunately the picture of this layering isn't so accurate, so you must trust my words XD
Stop talking, here are a few pictures:

It's a bright, bright orange

It was time for some bright colours again and so I bought "Wake up!" (Essence).
Again, the formula of the colour&go collection was just amazing, I used two coats, but it was definetly a one-coater *loooove* and it dries so shiny that you may also skip the top coat (but I didn't because I can't leave a mani without my beloved tc XD).
What else to say? I think it's obvious that I'm really satisfied with this polish and in general with Essence ones <3
That's all for the moment, have a nice day!

Oh, you pretty purple!

On Saturday I discovered the "Show your feet" collection from Essence, and because they had such lovely polishes I decided to get one polish (but I think I'll buy some more colours in the next future :P).
And, guess what? I didn't use it on my toes!
I got "Catwalk pink", a super pretty purple with blue shimmer (which doesn't translate so strong on the nail, sadly).
I loved this one, it looks amazing and has a great formula :)
The only bad thing is that I had to use three coats to get a good result (I hope that's only because I was the one who didn't apply this polish the right way) while on the bottle there's written "...great coverage with just one coat" . Well, I don't think that one coat is enough.
Anyway, here are the pictures, enjoy!

(Look how pretty the blue shimmer is <3)

The dark side

I have nothing really interesting to say today, so I'll keep this post short, I just want to say a couple of things about today's mani.
Do you remember what I said about "Posion me, Poison you" (Catrice) in this post? Well, I think I've changed my mind :P
It's still not one of my favourite polishes (because it's nothing special, I mean, in my opinion it's not a "whoaaa!" polish) but I kinda like it on my nails! I guess it's because I'm in a dark mood (only for nail colour, don't worry XD) and in these days I'm wearing a lot of black, blue, purple.
Anyway, because "Poison me, Poison you" is still a bit too boring for my taste, I thought it was a good idea to spice it up with some shimmer, and it actually was!
So, here it is: two coats of "Poison me, Poison you" and one coat of "229" (Kiko).
Do you like it?

Glitter on top

A few days ago I noticed that I actually didn't own a simple black polish. I have one with gold glitters, one with silver glitters, one with a light silver shimmer, but no pure black polish. WHAAAAAAT??
Of course I went to my favourite drug store and I got a black polish.
I think black is a perfect base colour for layering, especially when you've got some glitter toppers you want to try out, and that brings us to my todays mani!
I wanted something really *bling-bling* and so I used my black polish as base and then an old glitter polish from Pupa I didn't use for a loooong time (and I don't know why, because it's really gorgeous!) on top.
I really really love the result :D
(This is two coats of Quando è black polish plus one coat of glitter polish and top coat)

This violet stole my heart

Today I wanted to show you again an "old" polish, because the swatch I did the first time wasn't good enough for such a beauty.
I'm talking about "Knock out violet" from Deborah (Pret à porter collection).
This polish is sooooo beautiful: a dark violet full with blue/purple glitters (or flecks?) you can notice only in the sun. It has a good formula too, I used two coats and I didn't have to clean imperfections :)
How amazing is that? :D
Well, here are the pictures, hope you'll like them ;)

Another thing that happened last week is that I cut my hair. Everytime I'm really upset I must do something that makes me feel better with myself, and so this time I decided that I had to do something with my hair! Now it's really short (perfect for summer) and I also changed a bit my hair colour, so now I can say that I'm blonde again XD
I want to show you a picture, so you can tell me if you like it or not :) Btw I LOVE it!
(And yes, it's a b&w pic, and that's because I'm sooooo in love with this kind of photography, so forgive me if you can't see the hair colour!)

Like a Barbie or a flamingo?

There's some stuff going on in my life lately, some good and some bad. But I won't stop blogging, because this is one of those things which distracts you from your real life, and this is exactly what I need right now.
I've always thought I was a fragile person, but now I realize I was wrong: I went through a lot of things and I'm still here, with a smile on my face. I think I only have to convince myself that I can do whatever I want (or I have to) because I'm strong enough :)

So, now let's talk again about nail polish! Today I've got another Barry M. polish to show you: Pink Flamingo.
This is definetly one of my favourites from this brand, and I wasn't disappointed at all.
Again, the formula was pretty perfect, two coats and you're done. The colour is amazing: so bright and so girly <3 I think it looks a bit like a Barbie pink :P

The invisible duochrome

When this collection came out (@Holographic.com) I said I would only get this polish, because the other ones where kind of boring to me, and so I did.
Yesterday I swatched "Blue Ray" (Essence). Well, obviously they don't know what holographic means...this was actually thought to be a duochrome, but most of the time it's only a metallic blue polish. The only moment I saw the pink shade was when I held my hand under the light.
I was pretty disappointed because it looked so good in the bottle :(
It's a nice colour though, but not really my style...I don't think I'll use this polish a lot in the future.
What about you, have you tried Blue Ray? Did you like it?
(This was two coats + top coat)

I love this berry

Good morning!
Finally the sales have begun and I can't wait to do some healthy shopping ;) Well, not for my wallet for sure XD
I've already found a pair of shorts, and now I'm looking for some other nice stuff, like a long dress, a pair of sandals and some basic tank tops...have I already mentioned that I LOVE sales? :D

Anyway, for such a nice day I had to choose a gorgeous polish, and so here it is: Dirty Berry (Catrice).
I wanted this one for soooo long, and than my best friend got it for me :) And, guess what? Now it's my absolute favourite polish in my collection!
I love this because it has such a lovely colour and it's also a holo! The effect isn't so strong, but when you look at your nails in the sun you can see all those little holo glitters sparkling <3
Yes, I'm in love.
Do you own Dirty Berry too? And do you love it as much as I do?

Poison me, Poison you

I wasn't sure which polish to choose this morning: Poison Me, Poison You (Catrice), Dirty Berry (Catrice) or Blue Ray (Essence)?
In the end Poison Me, Poison You was the lucky winner, so here it is!
This is a beautiful dark purple shade, with a marvellous lighter shimmer in it. I didn't like the brush of this polish at all, but the beauty of the colour made it worth it :)
I must say, this is not really my style, but I had to try it anyway...I wish I was good at stamping, but I'm not, so I think I won't keep this polish on to long. I can't really wait to try also the other polishes I got lately!
