Beam Me Scotty!

I was so happy when I found this lonely bottle of Beam Me Scotty! (Catrice LE-Out of space) last time I went for a shopping tour in Venice <3 I didn't get any of the polishes from this LE, so I was twice excited to try this one out (you know, this is the matte-drying polish). Well, I must say, it's famous for a reason: because it's gorgeous!
I'm sorry I didn't take pictures of it when it was still matte, but it was already dark outside when I put it on :( Then I decided I wanted to see how it looked with a top coat on, and it was a great idea :) There are thousand of micro glitters in it, floating in this dark green base, just like tiny stars in the night <3
How could I not fell in love? The formula was good too: because it's a dark + matte polish, it's pretty pigmented, so one coat could be enough, but I put two coats anyways.
Well, now it's your turn to tell me your opinions about this polish: do you own it? And do you love it as much as I do?

Blue combo rocks

Well, University is taking the most of my time, so I'm not able anymore to post with the same frequency as before. So, for today guess what? Another blue combo :P I know, probably you're tired of these manis, but I'm not, blue is just sooo pretty on nails <3
For this layering I used a polish as base I showed you a while ago (here!) and I topped it with China Glaze - Skyscraper, part of the Metro collection, which I really loved. The glitters of Skyscraper are really amazing, and I guess this is another one of those polishes every true polish-lover needs in her stash! Don't you agree?
What you see in these pictures is 3 coats of blue base polish + 1 coat of Skyscraper, without top coat.

Bad day

Such a sad day. A really joung guy just died in a motorbike race, Marco Simoncelli. He was 24 and such a nice and funny person, I'm really sad about this even if I'm not a fan of this sport. He had a terrible accident and he didn't make it. I guess you know that things like these can happen if you do such sports, but probably no one thinks that it may happen to you. Anyway, I wanted to say these two words just to remember how precious life is, and to enjoy every second of it.

Just to cheer me up a bit, I want to show you another polish I got thanks to Abby and her giveaway, What's with the cattitude? by O.P.I.
I think this is a lovely shade and the perfect baby blue. The only thing I don't really like about this one is the sheerness, it took me three coats to reach opacity, and there are still bold spots :( On the other side, I realized how I love O.P.I. brushes, they are very wide, but this makes the application even easier.

Midnight charm

My gosh, I just realized that I didn't post anything since monday! Well, I ask for forgiveness and I show you another pretty swatch, this time from Essence. From the new colour&go polishes I got almost every blue polish (or I really got them all). They looked so pretty in the bottle, and, I must say, also on the nails :)
Today it's Midnight charm's turn. It's a really dark blue with the tiniest shimmer. I don't know why, but I associate this colour to jeans...should I call this blue jeans? I think this is a pretty unique shade in my stash, I own a lot of blue polishes but no one of them looks similar to Midnight charm.
Anyway, the formula is fantastic: this polish is a one-coater! I just love it <3
Would you like to see some pictures? Here they are!

Catrice love

Again I'm in a what-colour-should-I-wear phase, I really hate these >.< I paint my nails five or six times before I find the right polish, and when this moment arrives I'm usually completely sick of polish smell.
Anyway, this was NOT my last choice for my manicure, but I decided to swatch anyway... I'm talking about Purplelized (Catrice), a purple foil/shimmer, very pretty in his own way. What I loved about this one is the formula (application went smoothly and I guess you could use just one coat if you're good enough) and the brush (I love Catrice brushes, they're one of my favourite ever!). So, if you like the colour too, this is absolutely a great purchase :) I would love to wear this as a manicure, but I'm not in the mood for it right now.
Instead, I'm wearing this polish mattified (with Matte about you, Essie), and it looks gorgeous!

Marilyn & me

Good morning and good Sunday! I woke up pretty early this morning and I still don't know why :/ Anyway, I wanted to show you the polish I'm wearing right now; have you noticed? It's not blue! Yeah, I think I'm over my blue-period (for now) and I needed something colorful and bright. First I wore Fateful desire (Essence), but I wasn't able to take colour accurate pictures, so I had to give up :( But after just one day I chose another red polish: Marilyn & me (Catrice).
This polish too isn't exactly like it appears in these pictures, it's more dark and shimmery, but I wanted to post at least one red polish, so...
About the polish: the strange thing about this one is that there are both glitters and shimmer. First I didn't now if I really liked it or not (I'm not that into red shimmer polish), but I decided to give it a try. It's definetly not an usual colour for me, but I think I could get used to it, in particular right now that I have rounded nails (and I think these kind of colours look prettier on rounded shapes).
It's still a bit weird when I look at my nails in the sun, but it doesn't bother me :P
Ok, on to the pictures! I used three coats because after two you could still see the vnl. There is no top coat on these.

Yes, it's blue again

Guess what? I'm showing you a blue polish again! I know, I'm becoming boring, but hey, it's not my fault if Essence creates such pretty colours <3 Yes, I'm talking about one of the new shades, Hard to resist :)
This is a beautiful shimmerish dark blue, and it was very easy to apply (two coats were just enough), like almost all Essence polishes. I'm so happy that the new colours from the colour&go finally came out in stores here too, I already got some of them, but there are still a lot on my wishlist!
Which one are you going to buy? Have you already bought some of them? Let me know!
Btw, have you seen how I changed the shape of my nails? Do you like them? I really do!

Golden Rose

Some of you wanted to see the Golden Rose polish, so here you are :) I must say, I'm pretty disappointed...in the bottle it almost looked like a gorgeous duochrome, but on the nails it's a simple blue glitter polish; it's very pretty though. What I liked most about it is that it wasn't sheer at all. So the formula is pretty good, while the brush was a bit too soft in my opinion. Well, that's all, another pretty blue polish XD

Grey for fall

I've got soooo many swatches to show you and I never now from which one to begin :/
Well, in the end I decided to show you Revlon's Black with envy, a beautiful dark grey polish. I really like grey polishes for fall/winter, and this one will definetly be one of my top choices for the upcoming cold days :)
Application, formula and brush were pretty nice, there's not much to say about...I think I used three coats for these pictures, just because I used too thin layers.
Hope you like the pictures!

And here's a comparaison I did with You're a heartbreaker (Essence). I know they're not dupes, but these are my favourite grey polishes at this moment, and I liked the idea of putting them together :) Both have lighter shimmer in their base colour, and I think these make them pretty unique! I love them <3

Best multichrome ever

Do I really have to spend words about this polish? Come on!
Space Cadet (Orly) is just..........
Am I right? :)
(three coats + top coat)

Kiko love

Hello everyone :) Hope you're having a nice week-end! I'm still pretty tired...I'm having my last three days at work (in fact tonight will be last one, yeay!) and there's a lot to do every night :/
Plus, I'm a bit sad because my best friend just went to Germany for four months, and I'm really feeling her absence :( Let's just say that I'm not having the time of my life right now.

Changing subject, in these days I wear a different manicure every day, so I can try all the new polishes fast :P
For today, another creme and it's again a Kiko one (sorry, I love them too much!): number 338. I loved this colour from the first moment I saw it, and I wore it a few days before I decided to change it. I would call it a light-periwinkle, it's so delicate and pretty, and it's definetly one of my favourite colours right now!
The formula of this polishes is really great, and they're so glossy on their own <3
I used two coats here:

Do you own this polish too? Do you like it as much as I do? :)
