For today I have a nail polish that was pretty disappointing to me: essence "Chic reloaded".
This has been the first one I got from the new colour&go line, and I was so excited to try it after seeing some amazing pics on other blogs (here and here). But when I tried it on my nails it really looked like nothing special :( For the most time it looks somewhat of a gunmetal grey with some purple and green under a different angle, but the colour shifting is very subtle.

All my pictures are taken with daylight, so you can see how it looks in reality. I'm not a fan...
Btw, I'm starting to really hate these new brushes >.< They're just too chunky and big.
Oggi vi parlo di uno smalto che purtroppo è stata una delusione per me: si tratta del "Chic reloaded" della essence.
E' stato il primo che mi sono fiondata a comprare quando è uscita la nuova linea dei colour&go, innamoratissima degli swatches che ho visto su altri blog (qui and qui). Ma quando l'ho provato sulle mie unghie non sembrava per niente spettacolare come pensavo; per la maggior parte del tempo è un semplice grigio scuro metallizzato che ha leggere sfumature di viola e verde, ma l'effetto è davvero debole.
Tutte le mie foto sono scattate con la luce del giorno, quindi potete vedere come appare questo smalto per davvero. Non ne sono per niente entusiasta...
E tra l'altro comincio davvero ad odiare i nuovi pennelli, troppo ingombranti e grossi >.<

anche io c'ero rimasta un po' male in effetti... l'ho comprato perchè me l'avevi nominato e anche io avevo cercato gli swatches online. però insomma... cmq l'ho usato e penso che troverò il modo di combinarlo con qualche top coat :)
ReplyDeleteVedendo gli swatches pensavo fosse uno spettacolo! Invece credo dipendesse tutto dalla luce con cui sono state scattate quelle foto perchè con la luce naturale non rende per niente :( *sigh*
Deleteanche io ero attirata dalla boccetta, invece poi mi son resa conto provandolo in negozio che era un colore piuttosto banale..

I walked into this trap with Where's the Party duochrome and Iron mermaiden from Catrice. Na-ah. Didn't buy this one anymore. It looks amazing in the bottle, but I just knew it would be disappointment on the nails. Still, the dark colour looks very nice on your cute nails. :)

DeleteWell that's disappointing indeed, I also saw pictures of that polish on other blogs and I though it was pretty cool. I have the same 'color' but in a polish from Claire's and I get the same disappointing effect... what the hell! Nonetheless, it looks great on your nails, even if isn't the effect we expected! :)

DeleteHmmm :( I also took my pictures at daylight and I didn't photoshop them. That's weird. I will have to swatch it again. However, I really like dark colors on your nails :D
