Pupa "Denim Blue" holographic

I was so curious to try my new holographic polishes that I just couldn't resist, and so I put on the blue one yesterday! 

This belongs to another limited edition from Pupa, and it's the Holographic one, of course. I'm not a huge fan of holos, but when I found myself in front of ten gorgeous shades I thought I had to grab a couple, and that's what I did :P

This one is n.034, and it's called "Denim Blue".

It is soooo pretty! As I said, holographic polishes are not really my cup of tea, but when it comes to a blue holo, well, it's different :P (I'm also thinking about getting n.038, which is more of a pinky coral holo btw!)

About the polish: the formula is good, very pigmented, just be careful while applying, because you can get bald spots very easily if you don't pay enough attention! I used two coats in these pictures.

The holo effect isn't the strongest in this one, but I don't care to much because it's still beautiful.

Ero così curiosa di provare i miei nuovi smalti olografici che alla fine ho ceduto, e ieri sera ho applicato quello blu!

Appartiene ad un'altra collezione limitata della Pupa, la "Holographic". Personalmente non vado matta per questo tipo di smalto, ma quando mi sono ritrovata di fronte a ben dieci colorazioni diverse mi sono detta che almeno un paio sarebbe valsa la pena di portarli a casa :P

Questo è il n.034, chiamato "Denim Blue".

E' davvero molto bello! Nonostante il mio scarso interesse nei confronti degli olografici, se si tratta di uno smalto blu olografico è un altro paio di maniche! (tra l'altro sto pensando di acquistare anche il n.038, che è un rosa corallo).

Lo smalto è molto pigmentato (io ho usato due strati), l'unica cosa a cui bisogna prestare attenzione è la stesura, in quanto ci vuole un niente a lasciare delle chiazze tirando troppo il colore. L'effetto olografico non è fortissimo (tenete conto che in queste foto è ancora più smorzato, in realtà è un po' più intenso!), ma a me non dispiace perchè lo trovo delizioso lo stesso :)

Pupa n.052, "Neon Fuchsia"

So, yesterday I took advantage of a Pupa promotion and I bought two of their new nail polishes and so I got one for free :) I decided to buy two holographic polishes (n.037 and n.034) and a pink neon one (n.052).

So, here are the first swatches of the neon I got! It belongs to a collection of neon colours called "Disco Neon" made up of four different polishes, and I got n.052, which is called "Disco Fuchsia".

I'm pretty impressed because my camera has been able to capture the right colour this time, even if it's a pink and it's so bright :D

Well, about the polish...I like it very much; it has a jelly consistency but it also has a great coverage (two coats displayed here), it dries to a semi-matte finish and the colour is so pretty and great for summer days. 

The only downside of this collection is the fact that the selection to choose from is pretty limited: there are just this pink, a jellow, a purple and a coral.

Anyway, I'm glad that italian brands such as Pupa and Layla are finally creating these new finishes (like holographics, neon, flakies, etc.), already so popular in the US, and I can't wait to see what's up next!

Ieri ho approfittato della promozione della Pupa e ho comprato due smalti ricevendone uno in omaggio. Mi sono portata a casa due dei nuovi smalti olografici (il n.037 e il n.034) e un neon (n.052).

Oggi vi mostro quest'ultimo, appartenente a una mini collezione di smalti fluo chiamata "Disco Neon", composta da quattro colori diversi. Lo smalto che vi faccio vedere si chiama "Disco Fuchsia".

Sono piuttosto contenta del fatto che la mia macchina fotografica si sia decisa di rappresentare correttamente questo smalto, nonostante sia rosa e così acceso :)

Lo smalto mi piace molto; la consistenza è simile a un jelly, ma la coprenza è ottima (con due strati ho ottenuto il risultato che vedete), si asciuga con una finitura leggermente opaca, il colore è molto carino e perfetto per le giornate estive.

L'unica nota negativa che mi sento di fare è la limitata scelta di colori per questa collezione: ci sono solo questo, un giallo, un corallo e un viola.

Comunque sono molto contenta del fatto che ultimamente anche marche italiane come Pupa e Layla si siano decise di creare finiture di smalto che oltreoceano sono già molto popolari (come gli olografici, i neon, i flakies, ecc.)!

Kiko n.359, peachy perfection

Good morning! Super short post today! This polish is Kiko n.359, and it's a peachy polish :) I actually just own two peach coloured polishes, because I don't think that this colour looks very flattering against my skintone, but I just couldn't resist, I'm grabbing all those polishes which scream summer to me :D
Anyway, the application was flawless, I used two coats and a top coat. Kiko is definetly becoming one of my all time favourite brands, for the quality of their products and the nice colour selection!

Buondì! Per oggi un post super corto! Questo smalto è il n.359 della Kiko, e si tratta di un color pesca :) A dir la verità possiedo soltanto due smalti di questa tinta, perchè credo che non doni particolarmente al mio incarnato, ma non sono riuscita a trattenermi dal comprarlo, sto facendo scorta di tutti gli smalti che mi rimandino all'estate :D
Comunque, l'applicazione è perfetta, ho usato due strati di smalto e un top coat. La Kiko sta decisamente diventando una delle mie marche in assoluto preferite, per la qualità dei suoi prodotti e per la vasta scelta di colori!
P.S. Al momento ci sono gli sconti da Kiko! Tutti gli smalti a 2,50€!! Approfittatene!

NYC "Big city dazzle"

 Hello there! I absolutely wanted to show you this beauty I bought during the week-end: NYC "Big city dazzle", a marvellous multi-coloured glitter polish.
When I bought it, I wasn't really sure I would like it, but the more I was staring at it the more I was mesmerized by it. I think the best way to make this polish pop would be by layering it over a black polish, but I wasn't in the mood for black yesterday, so I used a purple polish underneath (itstyle n.41).
Sadly these pictures don't do this combo justice, but if you have the chance to find a NYC counter please go and give it a try (also because it's just 1,99€!).

Buondì! Oggi volevo assolutamente mostrarvi il mio acquisto del fine settimana: il NYC "Big city dazzle", uno spettacolare smalto glitter multicolor.
Appena comprato non ero sicura che mi sarebbe piaciuto, ma a forza di fissarlo sono rimasta ipnotizzata dai glitterini colorati. Il modo migliore per farlo risaltare sarebbe sicuramente di stenderlo sopra uno smalto nero, ma visto che ieri non ero proprio dell'umore per tale colore, ho deciso di provarlo sopra ad uno viola (in questo caso si tratta dell'itstyle n.41).
Purtroppo queste foto non gli rendono assolutamente giustizia, ma se avete la possibilità di trovare un espositore della NYC vi consiglio vivamente di prenderlo (anche perchè costa solo 1,99€!).

Rimmel "Bubblegum Pink"

Hello there! Hope you're having a nice Sunday :) Here it's raining and raining and raining...but I'm really happy because yesterday my aunt and uncle from Germany made us a big surprise coming to visit completely unexpected! :D How great is that?

We're having a great time all together, and last time we saw them was four years ago! So yeah, I'm having a great weekend so far :)

About my nails, yesterday I bought this Rimmel polish  ("Bubblegum Pink"), and it's a very bright coral pink (in these pictures it doesn't show up as bright as it is irl). I do really like it, but this morning I noticed that it had already chipped :( I had heard that Rimmel polishes chipped pretty fast, but I didn't think that fast!

I'm not happy, most of all because I love this colour for summer, and I thought I had finally found the perfect coral polish, but nope, it's definetly not this one.

Spero stiate passando una bella domenica :) Qui piove da giorni ormai, ma non mi butto giù perchè ieri ho ricevuto una splendida sorpresa: i miei zii tedeschi sono venuti a trovarci senza dire niente a nessuno, e quando li ho visti sono rimasta in uno stato di shock per qualche secondo prima di realizzare la cosa XD

Ci stiamo divertendo molto, e pensate che erano ben quattro anni che non li vedevo!

Riguardo le mie unghie, ieri ho comprato questo smalto della Rimmel ("Bubblegum Pink"), un bellissimo rosa corallo acceso (nelle foto è più spento di quanto non sia in realtà). Mi piace moltissimo, ma stamattina mi sono accorta che ha già cominciato a scheggiarsi...avevo sentito dire che gli smalti della Rimmel non hanno una buona resistenza, ma non pensavo fosse così pessima!

Non sono per niente contenta, specialmente perchè adoro il colore per l'estate, e speravo di aver finalmente trovato lo smalto corallo perfetto, ma a quanto pare non è questo.

eyeslipsface.it haul

Hello there! Hope you're not getting bored with these haul-posts, because I really love doing them :D

This time I show you three products I bought from eyeslipsface.itrecently (a second order is already on its way home!).

This is actually my second time ordering stuff from this site, but last time I just got some nail polishes I wasn't very impressed with. Well, I decided to buy some of their makeup, because I saw and read so many good reviews about them. 

In this package I got:

- elf studio blush in "tickled pink";

- elf studio blush in "twinkle pink";

- elf mineral moisturizing lip tint in "blush".

Now, this post won't be a review of these products because I obviously haven't tried yet (I just got them today in the mail!), but I wanted to show them to you anyway.

I have swatched the lip tint, but a picture is all I have for now.

Makeup haul

Hello there! How are you doing? :) I'm still pretty busy (even if I'm not studying as hard as I should >.<), so no new manicure. But I wanted to show you some of the stuff I got recently. No nail varnish this time, but makeup instead! I got all these from drugstores, and the [b] basic pieces I haven't tried yet, so I can't really tell you how good or bad they are (even if I'm pretty sure I won't be very impressed...well, we'll see). I actually bought these because I saw that [b] basic had new products and changed their packaging, so I thought maybe they had improved their product's quality too, so I grabbed some.

So...here it is, my makeup haul! Enjoy :)

Buondì! Come state? Io sono ancora piuttosto presa con le bombe, anche se non mi sto dedicando allo studio quanto dovrei, ma vabbè, cercherò di recuperare >.<.

Oggi volevo mostrarvi solo un paio di cosette che ho comprato di recente, niente smalti ma cosmetici.

Alcuni pezzi ancora non li ho provati (tipo quelli della [b] basic), quindi non posso dirvi quanto buoni o cattivi siano (anche se ho già l'impressione che non sarò piacevolmente sorpresa...ma vabbè, spero di ricredermi). A dir la verità ho comprato questi ultimi perchè ho visto che la [b] basic ha buttato fuori dei nuovi prodotti e ha cambiato le confezioni, quindi speravo che avessero migliorato anche la qualità dei prodotti, così ne ho comprato qualcuno per verificare.

Dunque...eccovi i miei acquisti! Un saluto :)

[b] basic mosaic powder n.01 : I still don't know how I will use this, I hope it's a bit darker than my skin so I can use this as a bronzer, but I'm not sure.

[b] basic rouge powder n.01 (in real life it's more a vibrant pink, but my camera didn't want to capture the right colour)

[b] basic eyeshadow n.25 coco nut : Just a basic brown eyeshadow, for an everyday use.

essence powder and blush brushes: I want to use the blush brush with the Elf blushes I bought (they haven't arrived yet, but I hope they will soon); and the powder blush with a bronzer.

Max Factor smooth effect foundation in 45 creamy ivory: I can't tell how much I LOVE this foundation! I finally found the right colour match for my skin, and I also love the texture and how it fells on the skin, it's just pure love <3

Max Factor eyeshadow earth spirits: and another pretty brown eyeshadow that I like to use on a daily basis. Nothing really special but I really like how it looks on me.

Pink on Easter

Happy Easter to everyone! Again, I'm sorry for my absence but I have begun studying for my upcoming exams and I'm not really doing my manicure that often :/
So, just a quick post to show you what I have on my nails today!
It's n.376 from Kiko and it's a lovely light pink polish. I absolutely adore this, everything is perfect about it <3 Well done Kiko! In these pictures you see two coats of polish plus top coat.

Buona Pasqua a tutti! Mi scuso nuovamente per la mia assenza ma ho (finalmente) cominciato a studiare per gli imminenti esami e quindi farmi le unghie non rientra tra le mie priorità :/

"Killing red"

Hello there and sorry for the lack of posting, but lately I'm experimenting more and more with makeup, and I didn't do anything special with my nails :/

Anyway, today I show you another great flakie polish, and it's the Layla "Killing red" polish. I have already shown you "The butterfly effect", and this time I decided to use the polish on its own, without any base colour. These polishes have a really pigmented base in fact, so it wasn't difficult at all reaching opacity, it just needed two coats.

I'm very very happy with the result, even if the flakies don't show up that much, but you can still see that they're there.

Rieccomi dopo una piccola pausa che mi sono presa per sperimentare un po' di più con i cosmetici e un po' meno con gli smalti.

Oggi vi mostro l'altro smalto flakie della Layla, il "Killing red". Vi ho già mostrato "The butterfly effect" un po' di tempo fa, e questa volta ho deciso di usare lo smalto senza una base di colore, siccome questi due hanno di per sè una buona coprenza; infatti sono bastati due strati per ottenere un risultato perfetto.

Mi piace moltissimo il risultato, anche se i flakies non è che si vedano tantissimo, ma va bene così.
