kkcenterhk decals review

I'm a bit late with this review, but in the end I made it to post it >.<

Anyway, I received these super cute nail decals from kkcenterhk.com to review a while ago. I could choose the ones I liked the best and so I went for these Superman decals :D Aren't they cute? *ç*

And they also are so easy to apply! All you need is a little bowl of water, some tweezers, and a base/top coat.

So, first you cut the design you want, take off the transparent film and merge the little paper thing in the water. Then just wait for a few seconds and take it off the water: you should be able, using the tweezers, to raise the decal from the paper. Then just place it where you want on your nail and apply some top coat to fix the whole thing. So easy! :D

I think these decals are super pretty and fun, and they're also kind of inexpensive. So, if you want to get some for yourself, just visit kkcenterhk online shop :)

P.S. I used Essie "mint candy apple" as base colour and the decals I got are these.

Sono decisamente in ritardo con questa recensione, ma meglio tardi che mai >.<

Un po' di tempo fa ho ricevuto questi sticker per unghie da recensire da parte di questo sito: kkcenterhk.com. Ho potuto scegliere quelli che preferivo e così ho preso questi a tema "Superman" :D Sono o non sono bellissimi? *ç*

Tra l'altro sono facilissimi da applicare! Tutto ciò che vi serve è una ciotolina d'acqua, un paio di pinzette e un colore per la base più un top coat.

Per prima cosa, ritagliate l'immagine che volete, staccate la pellicola trasparente che vi è sopra e immergete il quadratino nell'acqua. Lasciatelo lì per qualche secondo, e dopo averlo estratto dovreste essere capaci di staccare lo sticker dalla carta con le pinzette con facilità. Fatto questo, basta che applichiate l'immagine dove volete sull'unghia e fissate il tutto con un top coat. Facile! :D

Trovo che questi sticker siano davvero carinissimi e divertenti, e tra l'altro sono anche economici. Se siete interessati, potete trovarli sul sito kkcenterhk.com :)

P.S. Ho usato Essie "mint candy apple" come colore per la base e gli sticker che ho scelto sono questi.

deBBY "Lilac attitude" lipstick review

Hello there! No nail polish today, but a gorgeous lipstick instead!
This is deBBY's n.33 "Lilac Attitude", a slightly purpleish pink lipstick, which I bought this Saturday. I was a bit intimidated by its purple undertones first, but it looked just too good and I decided to give it a try in the end. And I'm so glad that I did! It looks so pretty on the lips, I absolutely adore it :D
So, the lipstick comes in this little tube (it's 5,5 cm tall!), but it actually contains the same amount of a NYC lipstick for example, and the price is 4,90€. I don't know if you can find this brand outside Italy (it's he little sister of Deborah), but if you have the chance to find it, you should definetly check all the colours of this lipstick line, they are gorgeous (this is the second one I bought :P)! Rieccomi :) Niente smalto oggi, ma in compenso vi mostro un bellissimo rossetto!
Si tratta del n.33 "Lilac Attitude" della deBBY, un rosa con sottotoni viola che ho comprato questo sabato. All'inizio ero un po' insicura se prenderlo o meno per via del colore leggermente viola, ma dopo averlo provato ripetutamente sulla mano mi sono decisa a portarmelo a casa. E per fortuna! 
Il rossetto è contenuto in questo tubetto di appena 5,5cm, ma contiene la stessa quantità di prodotto di un rossetto NYC (giusto per fare un esempio), mentre il prezzo è 4,90€.

It feels so good on the lips! Application is very smooth, and it lasted for a nice amount of time without drying my lips (about 3 or 4 hours without drinking or eating). I also loved how the colour looks with my skin and eyes; I guess lipsticks with blue undertones are the best choice for me :)

Il prodotto si stende bene, ha una buona pigmentazione e durata (circa tre o quattro ore senza ritocchi e senza aver mangiato/bevuto), e non secca le labbra. E' piacevolissimo una volta steso, e il colore trovo che sia molto originale e delicato :) Penso di aver trovato nei rossetti con sottotoni blu la mia strada :P

ever n.62

Good morning ladies!  I just woke up and thought I'd love to share this swatch with you today :)
It's ever n.62, a beautiful metallic electric blue. I think it looks gorgeous :D Anyway, the formula was good, I used two coats for full opacity.
I hoped that the pink reflexes that were in the bottle would show up on the nails too, but nope...it's just a plain blue. But what a blue!

Buondì! Mi sono appena alzata e ho pensato di condividere con voi le foto di questo bellissimo smalto: ever n.62. Si tratta di un blu elettrico metallizzato, stupendo :) La qualità dello smalto è buona, la coprenza pure (due strati nelle foto). L'unica pecca è che speravo che i riflessi rosa avvistati nella boccetta (che davano un aspetto leggermente duocromatico allo smalto) apparissero anche sull'unghia, ma purtroppo no. Pazienza, comunque il colore è davvero molto bello :)

Shaka n.630

I know you all wanted to see Shaka's n.620, but I went for n.630 instead, sorry!!

It's just that I fell in love with this deep glittery burgundy colour, I HAD to paint my nails with it :D

Well, the colour didn't disappoint me at all: it's so rich, deep, shimmery, amazing, I love it and I think it suits my skin pretty well (actually, I think this is one of those "universal" shades, which should look nice against different kind of skin tones).

The pigmentation is pretty good, but I ended up using three coats anyway (don't ask me why :/), but it actually didn't bother me that much :P

I really adore this polish, it's so classy and elegant but with a twist (the glitter/shimmer).

About Shaka: this is a fairly new italian brand, they produce not only polishes but also cosmetics and makeup brushes for a really good price. This is their web site: Shaka-beauty.com. Their products are sold here in Italy in stores like Upim and Coin, but sadly they haven't arrived in my town yet (and I'm not sure they will). So, if you're interested in seeing swatches of the other polishes Roberta sent me, stay tuned! :D

So che volevate tutti vedere il n.620 di Shaka, ma alla fine ho deciso di provare per primo il n.630, chiedo perdono!!

E' che mi sono perdutamente innamorata di questo bellissimo smalto bordeaux (?) glitterato, ho DOVUTO usarlo per primo! :D

Il colore è stupendo: è intenso, ricco, con degli shimmer che rendono ancora meglio il senso di profondità, semplicemente un sogno! Lo adoro, e penso doni molto anche al mio incarnato (tra l'altro penso che sia uno di quei colori che donano più o meno a chiunque).

La pigmentazione è buona, ma alla fine, non so come, sono arrivata a usare tre strati di smalto, ma la cosa non mi ha disturbato più di tanto, anche perchè si asciuga piuttosto rapidamente.

E' un colore elegante e classico, ma con quel tocco moderno rappresentato dai glitter/shimmer.

A proposito del marchio Shaka: è abbastanza nuovo ed è italiano; producono non solo smalti, bensì anche cosmetici e pennelli da make up a prezzi convenienti. Qui trovate il loro sito: Shaka-beauty.com. Potete trovare questi prodotti da Upim e Coin, ma purtroppo da me ancora nessuna traccia (e chissà se arriverà mai qualcosa!). Presto vedrete sul blog anche gli altri swatch degli smalti che mi ha spedito Roberta :)

Epic nail mail!

I got some amazing nail mail today, from Roberta of Smaltoitaliano, who was soooo kind to send me some gorgeous polishes I don't find here in my town <3 I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the package: 10 beautiful polishes were waiting for me to photograph and swatch them! So, here are the first pictures, now the only problem is: which one should I choose first? :D

Essie spring collection + Beautybay review

Here I am again with some pretties to show you :)

I received the Essie mini spring collection I ordered on Beautybay.com a couple of days ago, and I couldn't be happier with the colours! 

I first want to spend a few words on this online shop: it's an english one, so I don't have to worry about customs or anything; they have free worldwide delivery, and that's definetly a big plus; their prices are higher than the american ones, but that's obvious; they have the mini-sized bottle collections, which I prefer over the single big ones (except for O.P.I., I will never pay more than 16€ for four 3.5ml bottles!). 

They say that if you place your order before 4p.m. they will dispatch your order that same working day, and for Europe, your order should arrive in 3 to 5 working days: mine took 10 days, but well, I can accept that.

Said that, I think the mini cube looks super cute, and I guess it would be also great for a gift (I paid 14€ for four 5ml bottles, btw). 

The colours I got are: "Olé Caliente" (the bright red coral one), "Navigate her" (the green one), "Tour de Finance" (the bright pink one) and "To buy or not to buy" (the lavender one).

For this manicure I used "Tour de Finance" and "To buy or not to buy" (hate such long names =.=).

The formula of both was amazing, TBONTB was just a bit streaky, but nothing impossible to work with. Also the pigmentation of both was great: I used two coats for each of them. 

TDF is a bright pink with magenta shimmer, while TBONTB is a pale lavender with very tiny multichromatic glitters, which sadly disappear once you apply it on the nails.

Anyway, I highly recommend this little box, even if I haven't tried the other two colours yet, just because the colours are so much fun and the quality of these polishes is amazing. I'm pretty excited to try "Olé Caliente" next time :D

Rieccomi con alcune bellezze da mostrarvi :)

Un paio di giorni fa ho ricevuto l'ordine che ho fatto sul sito Beautybay.com, ossia il mini box contenente quattro smalti della collezione primaverile di Essie, e devo ammetterlo, non potrei essere più soddisfatta dei colori!

Prima di tutto però vorrei spendere due parole riguardo questo sito online: è inglese, quindi non c'è da preoccuparsi di dogana né niente; inoltre hanno le spedizioni gratuite in tutto il mondo, il che è un grosso punto a loro vantaggio; i prezzi sono ovviamente più alti di quelli americani, ma comunque un pelo più bassi di quelli che troviamo in negozio; hanno le collezioni con le boccette piccole, che sinceramente preferisco (eccetto quelle della O.P.I., non spenderò mai più di 16€ per quattro boccette da 3,5ml!).

Sul sito dicono che se piazzate l'ordine entro le quattro del pomeriggio di un giorno lavorativo spediranno il pacco il giorno stesso, e dovrebbe metterci dai 3 ai 5 giorni lavorativi per arrivare; il mio ne ha impiegati 10, ma vabbè, è ancora accettabile.

Detto questo, il box è davvero adorabile, e penso che sarebbe un ottimo articolo da regalo nel caso aveste un'amica appassionata di smalti da far felice (tra l'altro, costa 14€ per quattro boccette da 5ml)!

I colori che trovate in questo box sono: "Olé Caliente" (il rosso corallo), "Navigate her" (il verde), "Tour de Finance" (il rosa acceso) e "To buy or not to buy" (il color lavanda).

Per questa manicure ho usato "Tour de Finance" e "To buy or not to buy" (odio questi nomi lunghissimi, tra parentesi).

La qualità di questi smalti è ottima, solo TBONTB tende a strisciare un poco, ma niente di eccessivo; anche la coprenza è molto buona, io ho usato due strati per entrambi.

TDF è un bel rosa acceso con shimmer magenta, mentre TBONTB è un lavanda chiaro con dei bellissimi e piccolissimi glitter multicromatici, che purtroppo non si vedono quasi più una volta applicato lo smalto.

Comunque io consiglio vivamente questo box, nonostante non abbia ancora provato gli altri due colori, perchè le tonalità sono spettacolari e la qualità ottima. A dir la verità sono abbastanza curiosa di provare "Olé caliente", che era quello che più mi aveva colpito dagli swatch trovati sul web :D

Orly, "Royal Velvet"

I know I have shown you this polish before, but I think it's just to beautiful to not share it again <3
It's "Royal Velvet" by Orly, a gorgeous duochrome which shifts from blue to purple depending on the light.
It's one of those shades I never get tired of, can you imagine why? :D
Anyway, I put two coats of polish and no top coat. Pure perfection!
P.S. Today arrived my mini Essies from the spring collection that I ordered on Beauty Bay, and I can't wait to try them! AND I also finally got my hands on "Mint candy apple", which was on my wishlist for such a long time <3

Lo so che vi ho già mostrato questo smalto in passato, ma credo che valga assolutamente la pena mostrarvelo di nuovo <3
E' "Royal Velvet" di Orly, uno spettacolare duochrome che passa da un bel blu metallizzato al viola in base alla luce. E' uno di quei colori di cui non potrei mai stufarmi, riuscite a capire perchè? :D
In queste foto ho usato due strati di smalto e nessun top coat. Perfezione assoluta!
P.S. Oggi sono arrivati i 4 mini Essie della collezione primaverile che ho ordinato qualche giorno fa su Beauty Bay, e non vedo l'ora di provarli perchè sono stupendi! In più ho finalmente trovato "Mint candy apple" che bramavo da così tanto <3

Failed experiment

Good morning! Today I have some kind of a weird experiment to show you :D
Yesterday I painted my nails with this beautiful lavender polish by NYC, which is called "Lavender Cupcake": great formula, super smooth and also very nice pigmentation. I love it!
But after a while I thought that it was missing something, and so I grabbed some glittery polish I found in my stash, Essence "You're a gold mine". It looked ok, very sparkly and elegant, but again, I was not completely satisfied. Well, I then remembered my "Chunky Holo Bluebell" from Kleancolor, and I put a coat of that one too on the top. In the end it looked a bit...messy I would say XD Actually I'm pretty sure it would have looked super gorgeous with just the Kleancolor on top of the lavender base, but it was to late for that >.<
Anyway, I took the whole thing off, first because the Kleancolor didn't want to dry and also because I just couldn't stand its smell anymore. Well, maybe I should have left the pretty "Lavender Cupcake" on its own...

Buondì! Stamattina vi mostro una specie di esperimento andato male che ho fatto ieri :D
Come prima cosa, ho applicato questo bellissimo smalto lilla della NYC, il "Lavender Cupcake": è perfetto, coprenza e applicazione sono ottimi. Mi piace da matti!
Ma dopo un po' cominciavo a sentire il bisogno di aggiungervi qualcosa, così ho preso al volo il "You're a gold mine" della Essence. Già meglio, dava quel tocco glitteroso che tanto mi piace alla mia manicure, ma ancora non abbastanza. Poi mi sono ricordata del "Chunky Holo Bluebell" della Kleancolor, e così ho applicato uno strato anche di quello. Alla fine il risultato appariva, come dire, un po' caotico...XD
A dir la verità, penso che sarebbe stato meglio se avessi saltato il passaggio con lo smalto della Essence, ma vabbè, ormai non potevo più tornare indietro >.<
Vabbè, alla fine ho rimosso il tutto, primo perchè il Kleancolor ci stava mettendo dei secoli per asciugarsi, e secondo perchè non riesco a sopportarne l'odore. Bè, forse avrei dovuto semplicemente lasciare il "Lavender Cupcake" da solo, era così carino...

H&M "Blue my mind"

The other day I found this blog post about Nails Inc. "Baker Street", and I fell completely in love. So, my first thought was "is there any dupe out there?". Well, there is, but I couldn't get my hands on it yesterday so I found a very good replacement thanks to Roberta from Smaltoitaliano: H&M's "Blue my mind".

What can I say? This is a stunning blue! Sadly my pictures don't do him justice, because the colour is so vibrant that my camera didn't pick it up. You have to imagine this kind of blue but with a touch of purple...it's kind of a vibrant blurple :D Actually, it looks pretty similar to "Baker Street", it's just a bit lighter.

Anyway, the formula of "Blue my mind" is fine, just a bit thicker than other polishes I'm used to, but not impossible to work with. The only thing I really hate about it is the brush, it makes application so unpleasant >.<

In these pictures I used two coats. Let me know what you think about it!

L'altro giorno ho trovato questo post riguardo lo smalto "Baker Street" della Nails Inc., e me ne sono innamorata. Il mio primo pensiero dunque è stato se ci fosse qualche possibile dupe nei paraggi. Bé, ce ne sono, ma non avendo potuto comprarlo subito, ho trovato un ottimo rimpiazzo in "Blue my mind" della H&M, su suggerimento di Roberta di Smaltoitaliano.

Che dire? E' un colore spettacolare! Purtroppo le mie foto non rendono giustizia a questo gioiellino, poichè il colore è troppo acceso per la mia povera macchina fotografica. Quindi dovrete provare ad immaginare questo colore con un accenno di viola, sempre molto acceso. E' effettivamente simile al "Baker Street", solo un po' più chiaro.

Lo smalto in sé non mi ha dato problemi, solo che la consistenza è un filo più densa degli smalti a cui sono abituata, ma niente di grave. L'unica cosa che davvero detesto di questi smalti è il pennello, che mi rende sempre nervosa quando applico lo smalto (questione di gusti, eh!).

In queste foto vedete due passate di smalto. Fatemi sapere cosa ne pensate!

Revlon "Facets of Fuchsia"

I feel a bit guilty but at the same time happy for having bought this Revlon polish today >.< They are pretty expensive here (this was 6€ but in some places they are even more expensive), but I just couldn't leave it there on that shelf all by itself :P

It's "Facets of Fuchsia" of course, dupe of Deborah Lippmann's "Bad Romance", a pretty blackened base with purple glitters floating in it, in two different sizes. Applying it was no problem, but be aware that the base colour is a bit sheer, so you'll need three coats to reach this nice opacity. 

I really like it on my super short nails!

Mi sento allo stesso tempo in colpa e felice per questo acquisto Revlon di oggi: un prezzo decisamente alto (6€ ma da altre parti anche più costoso) per uno smalto ormai famoso un po' ovunque e molto bello.

Parlo ovviamente del "Facets of Fuchsia", dupe del celeberrimo "Bad Romance" di Deborah Lippmann, che non potevo lasciare in negozio tutto solo :P

L'applicazione non da problemi, solo che la base è un po' trasparente, quindi ho dovuto applicare tre strati (neanche pesanti) per ottenere questa opacità. Mi piace molto, specialmente sulle mie unghiette super corte :D

Essence "Midnight date"

Hello there! Super quick post today, because I have to go out in a minute :/

Anyway, here I have used the essence duo in 01 "Midnight Date" ("midnight date" as base colour and "city that never sleeps" on top of it) and then I've put a coat of the Deborah flakies on top of it to make them really pop :) I must say, I really love "City that never sleeps", but I found here too that they don't show up as they should with this base colour, so I'll be experimenting quite a bit in the future to find the perfect base for these flakies!

Buondì! Un altro post velocissimo perchè sto per uscire.

Oggi vi mostro un altro smalto a doppia punta della essence, il 01 "Midnight Date" (composto da "midnight date" da usare come base e "city that never sleeps" da usare come topper). Per completare il tutto e per far risaltare i flakies della essence, ho dato una passata di quelli della Deborah.

Anche in questo caso mi è piaciuta moltissimo la parte glitter del duo, ma penso sempre che abbiano scelto un colore troppo "corposo" da usare come base, che smorza l'effetto del topper. Cercherò di trovare la base giusta per "City that never sleeps" in futuro!

Essence, "Shopping in Soho"

Hello! :D So, I'm taking a break from studying to show you my last manicure. I went for bright pink this time, using one of Essence's new double-ended polishes (this one is called "Shopping in Soho").

I used two coats of each side to achieve this look, which I really like :) I was mostly interested in the flakie part, but sadly I must say that they don't show up that much once applied, they just give a subtle sparkle touch and different colour reflections. Anyway, these are really good polishes, most of all the pigmentation of  their base colour side is amazing! 

Buondì! Mi sono presa una pausa dallo studio per mostrarvi la mia ultima manicure (bella scusa, eh? :P). Questa volta ho optato per un bel rosa acceso, usando uno dei nuovi smalti della Essence con le due estremità (questo si chiama "Shopping in Soho").

Ho usato due strati per smalto, e devo dire che mi compiaccio abbastanza del risultato :) Ero particolarmente interessata nel vedere in azione la parte brillantinosa di questo duo, ma sono rimasta un po' delusa dal fatto che sia poco visibile una volta applicata sulla base, dona semplicemente qualche riflesso colorato, che comunque risulta molto carino. Comunque, questi smalti sono sicuramente di buona qualità, e sono piacevolmente stupita dalla coprenza degli smalti da utilizzare come base!
