I think I've found my go-to colour for next fall: Rimmel "Velvet Rose". I think it looks very elegant and it would be perfect for colder months :) I'm not sure why I picked it up, because this is definetly not the kind of colour I would usually wear, but I'm glad I bought it and I'll probably use it a lot in the next months.
Formula was just lovely: I used two easy coats and the brush makes the application even more easy. I'm just wondering if it can really resist up to 10 days (still not sure if I can resist with the same colour for that long :P).
Penso di aver trovato lo smalto perfetto per il prossimo autunno, ossia "Velvet Rose" di Rimmel. E' un colore molto elegante, che penso si adatterebbe alla perfezione ai mesi più freddi. Ancora non capisco il perchè l'abbia comprato, poichè non è decisamente il tipo di smalto attorno al quale gravito solitamente, ma non rimpiango l'acquisto, e probabilmente lo sfrutterò parecchio nei prossimi mesi.
La qualità dello smalto direi essere ottima: ho applicato due strati e il pennello rende l'applicazione ancora più semplice. Mi domando solo che riuscirebbe a mantenere la promessa di resistere fino a 10 giorni, anche se probabilmente quella che non riuscirebbe a superare la prova sono proprio io :P

I received my package in about one month, like last time, and I didn't have any problems with customs or anything.
I fell in love with the glitters as soon as I opened the little jars! I chose the very fine ones (0.2mm) but they have so many to choose from that I spent almost an hour trying to decide which ones to pick (here you can find them all: CLICK).

Mi sono innamorata dei glitter appena ho aperto i barattolini! Ho optato per quelli più piccoli (0.2mm) ma la scelta è stata ardua, vista la vasta scelta di glitter presente sul loro sito (qua potete vederli tutti: CLICK).
I was thinking about how to use these, and in the end I decided that I would try to create some glitter polish just mixing the glitters with some clear nail polish. You really need a little quantity of glitter to create a 5ml bottle of polish, but you have to shake really well to mix the two products. One note: the glitters lose some colour and after a while they will deposit on the bottom, so you have to shake the bottle again every time you want to use it. This makes me think that they're not made to be mixed with nail polish.
Stavo meditando su come usarli, e alla fine ho deciso di provare a creare uno smalto glitter mischiando una piccola quantità di glitter con del semplice smalto trasparente. Una volta versati i glitter nella boccetta dovete scuoterla molto bene per amalgamare i due prodotti. N.B.: dopo un po' i glitter perdono del colore e colorano lo smalto trasparente; in più si depositano sul fondo se non mischiate in continuazione. Questo mi fa pensare che non siano fatti apposta per essere mischiati con lo smalto.
All in all I'm very pleased with this product, but I absolutely want to try to put the glitters directly on the nail next time, to cover the whole nail up, I think the result will be even prettier! I will show you then, of course :)
I really suggest you to visit this online shop because they have so many different products worth a look and the prices are quite good too!
Sono comunque molto contenta di questo prodotto, solo che la prossima volta voglio provare a versare un po' di glitter direttamente sull'unghia, per ottenere un effetto migliore. Ovviamente vi terrò aggiornati :) In definitiva consiglio vivamente di visitare questo negozio online perchè sono davvero molto ben forniti e i prezzi sono più che modesti!

I appreciate all your support and reading your comments made me understand that even if we are part of a virtual community, behind those screens there are actually real persons, with their own lives and experiences, and that's not all about nail polish and silly things, if one of us has problems, all the others are there to support and give advices and share their own experiences, and I think that that's an amazing thing. It's easier to face things like that if you know that there will always be people who you can talk to, even if you don't know how they look like or you have no idea where they live. If there's someone out there who can share its own experience and maybe help you with that, that's the best thing ever.

But now on to my NOTD! For today I have another holographic polish by Pupa, but this time it's the pink one, n.37. Again, amazing pigmentation and I think this has a slightly better formula than the silver one, because I didn't have the same issues with bald spots while applying it (at least it was not that bad). The holo effect also is a bit more visible indoors, and it's incredibly amazing in direct sun light. Again, a big winner in my opinion, and I can't wait to get my hands on other two polishes of this series, the emerald green (n.32) and the strawberry one (n.38)!
Innanzitutto voglio dirvi GRAZIE. Non avete idea di quanto mi abbia fatto piacere leggere i vostri commenti e mi sono resa conto che, nonostante facciamo tutti parte di una comunità virtuale, voi siete lì, persone in carne ed ossa con una vita e delle esperienze da condividere, pronte a supportarmi nel momento del bisogno. Trovo che sia una cosa meravigliosa. E' un filo più facile affrontare momenti come questo sapendo che ci sono persone che, sebbene non sappia che faccia hanno o dove vivano, siano disposte ad aiutare, anche solo scambiando due parole o lasciando un commento di incoraggiamento. E' bello che ci siano persone che vogliano aiutare o che provino ad incoraggiare anche se non ci si conosce. In fondo questo blog dovrebbe trattare solo di smalti e cose di poca importanza, ma nel momento in cui senta il bisogno di sfogarmi e vedere che anche voi magari state passando una situazione simile o già l'avete vissuta e avete voglia di condividerla è un buon modo per aiutarci a vicenda. Quindi vi dico di nuovo grazie :')
Adesso però passiamo alla manicure di oggi, che vede come protagonista un altro smalto olografico della Pupa, questa volta quello rosa, il n.37. Anche questa volta sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita dall'ottima pigmentazione e penso che abbia una consistenza un filo migliore di quello argentato, visto che ho avuto meno problemi durante l'applicazione. Anche l'effetto olografico è un po' più visibile al coperto rispetto al precedente, e al sole esplode in tutta la sua bellezza. Un altro vincitore insomma, e non vedo l'ora di procurarmi anche i numeri 38 e 32!
Forgive me for my absence, but I'm going through a rough time. After almost four years, me and my boyfriend broke up, and I'm still trying to realise that I'm alone now and that I have to learn how to live just for myself and not for someone else. It's not easy for me, because I'm one of those persons who need someone to rely on, someone who's always there for you. But now I just want to think about what I want to do with my life, and maybe I'll also be able to do what I always wanted to: as soon as I'll graduate at Uni (next year) I want to go away, change country and start a new life. And now I can.
Anyway, I've been making some major changes in my life: I'm doing a lot of stuff with my friends, I'm really focusing on myself, I have also cut my hair short and I'm planning to get a tattoo as soon as possible. I have to study for my exams and I have to concentrate on my last year of Uni. I'm really trying to keep myself as busy as I can, to not think about what I've lost. But I also needed to come back to my blog and do what I love to do, and you all know what I'm talking about.
Just a few words about this nail polish: it belongs to a collection of holographic polishes by Pupa (italian brand) and it's number 30; I already own two of these but I really wanted to try this silver one, because believe it or not, I don't own a plain silver holographic polish.
They are usually pretty expensive for 5ml bottles, but I found them on sale for 3,90€ and I decided to grab it. And I'm definetly not disappointed: application was a bit streaky like all holographic polishes, but the pigmentation is really good, and you're good to go after two coats. The holographic effect is pretty strong under direct sun light, but you can still see it indoors, obviously not as strong.
All in all a gorgeous polish, which I'm glad I bought.
Chiedo scusa per la mia assenza, ma sto passando un periodaccio. Dopo quasi quattro anni, io e il mio ragazzo abbiamo rotto, e sto ancora cercando di digerire la cosa e imparare a vivere per me stessa e non in funzione di un'altra persona. Non è assolutamente facile per me, poichè sono una di quelle persone che hanno bisogno di qualcuno accanto che le sostenga e che ci sia sempre. Ma ora come ora mi rendo conto che devo pensare solo a me medesima, a quello che voglio fare nella vita...probabilmente ora potrò realizzare il mio sogno, ossia quello di andarmene all'estero non appena mi sarò laureata (il prossimo anno), e ricominciare da zero una nuova vita. Ora posso.
Sto facendo un sacco di cambiamenti nella mia vita: sono sempre fuori con amici, mi concentro completamente su me stessa, sui miei esami, il mio ultimo anno di università, i miei progetti; mi sono anche tagliata i capelli e prossimamente voglio farmi un tatuaggio. Sto cercando di tenermi il più impegnata possibile, per non ritrovarmi a pensare a cosa ho perso. Ma sentivo anche il bisogno di tornare a occuparmi del mio blog e di ciò che mi piace fare, e tutti sapete di cosa parlo.
Solo un paio di cose a proposito di questo smalto: appartiene a una collezione di smalti olografici della Pupa, ed è iln.30; già ne possiedo due, ma volevo comprarmi anche questo argento poiché, credeteci o meno, ancora non ne possedevo uno.
Questi smaltini sono piuttosto costosi per delle boccette da 5ml, ma siccome li ho trovati in offerta a 3,90€ ho deciso di togliermi lo sfizio. E non ne sono rimasta affatto delusa: l'applicazione è un pelo difficoltosa, come del resto con tutti gli smalti olografici, poiché il rischio di striature e chiazze è alto, ma la pigmentazione è assai buona, e dopo un paio di strati si è già a posto. L'effetto olografico è molto forte sotto la luce del sole, ma è visibile anche al coperto, sebbene non sia altrettanto forte.
Insomma, un ottimo smalto, che sono felice di aver comprato.

Hello there! How are you doing? I'm kinda suffering at the moment because after having spent the whole day at the beach yesterday, I got a bit sun burned...I have a very fair skin, and I guess that I should have put on a sun cream that wasn't just 20spf >.< I know that I have been a bit stupid, but hey, I had a great time anyway, even if I'm looking like a neon lobster right now :D
And, talking about lobsters, I have a nail polish to show you today that kinda reminds me of a lobster-red, and it's nr.66PE by BasicBeauty :) It was gifted me by Roberta of Smaltoitaliano, and I think this is another perfect shade for summer and for the beach! It's a jelly coral, almost neon in the sun, I just love it <3 I had it on my nails yesterday at the beach, and it looked so pretty with my coral H&M bikini :D
About the formula: because it's a jelly, you'll need a few coats to make it opaque, I used four just because I did a mess with the third coat :P It dries kind of quickly, and the finish is super glossy and squishy, so lovely!

Io sto soffrendo un po' al momento, perchè dopo aver passato l'intera giornata di ieri al mare, mi sono un po' bruciacchiata...ho la pelle chiarissima, e penso di essere stata un po' stupida ad aver messo solo una protezione 20 >.< Vabbè, comunque mi sono molto divertita, il che compensa il dolore che sto patendo e la carnagione color aragosta fluo XD
A proposito di aragoste, oggi vi mostro uno smalto che è più o meno dello stesso colore, ossia il nr.66PE della BasicBeauty :) Mi è stato regalato da Roberta di
Smaltoitaliano, ed è un altro colore perfetto per l'estate e per le giornate al mare! E' un jelly color corallo, quasi neon al sole, e lo adoro alla follia <3 Ce l'avevo sulle unghie anche ieri e s'intonava perfettamente con il mio bikini corallo di H&M :)
Siccome è un jelly, servono più dei soliti due strati per una buona coprenza; nel mio caso ne ho usati quattro perchè ho combinato un macello con il terzo :P L'asciugatura è abbastanza rapida e lo smalto è super brillante anche senza top coat.
Sono davvero grata a Roberta per questo splendido regalo, lo adoro, quindi di nuovo grazie! <3
